Research residency at FABLAB/EISINE in Charleville-Mézières
During the 2019-2020 university season, the Yôkaï company and URCA (Université de Reims Champagne Ardenne) partnered up to build a research and outreach program. With the support of SUAC and the FABLAB of Charleville-Mézières, the company’s artists was in residence at FABLAB and involved 6 EISINE (Industrial and Digital Sciences School of Engineering) students in researching materials, robotics and digital technology aspects. Their objective was to achieve the best effects (fluidity and reliability) sought by the artistic team, which worked on illusion and the confusion of the spectator’s perception
Participants include students working towards an Engineering Sciences and “Design and materials shaping process” (CPMFM) bachelor’s degree.
The project was led by Violaine Fimbel, Artistic director and Marjan Kunaver, puppeteer and automation engineer
